ONSLAUGHT IN CALLUMS DESCENT
Warden Forces guarding the destroyed Morgen's Crossing Bridge
WAR 108, DAY 444-446, Morgans Crossing — Here in Morgans Crossing, for the past 3 days, I've been following the skirmish between Warden and Colonial forces near Callums Descent. Throughout this the strategic importance of the single bridge connecting the Callums Descent peninsula to the mainland of Morgen’s Crossing has become ever more punctuated. Warden and Colonial forces demonstrated this last night, showing it as what could possibly be one of the most challenging chokeholds for both sides in War 108. At 1200 hours on Day 444 Warden’s were informed of Colonial activity, with rumors of [MSA] preparing to lead an operation into Morgen’s Crossing. At the time the peninsula was held by Warden forces, who were in the process of improving on entrenchments previously used by Colonials who they’d sent packing South.
Approximately an hour after intel of an enemy offensive, Colonials would lead enough of a front to occupy Callums Descent. From here they rained fire onto the town of Quietus, multiple fires causing disarray and Warden troops to pull back. Colonial troops would begin to amass heavy artillery, large strung together tank formations of mostly [MSA] soldiers, and loose formations of unregimented infantry in preparation.
In the early morning hours of Day 445, it would begin. A substantial number of Colonial forces would press across the bridge, intent on capturing Lividus and Quietis. In response though the Warden’s had assembled a quick response force (QRF). Several of these SoBs, SPUD, CL, BigBL,187th, NIGHT, 3SP, 27th, 300, POILU would successfully defend, then counterattack, driving the Colonials back across the bridge, assisted by gunboats, artillery and tank formations.
This wasn’t the end though, only moments ago I witnessed the arrival of 2 Colonial Destroyers intent on turning the tide. Deploying themselves to the bay of Lividus and defended by 5-6 Gunboats they pose a significant challenge for the Wardens. The Warden’s best course of action was a purposeful destruction of the bridge. Yet as echoed by several Warden infantrymen, Colonial resolve remained high, stating “This bridge has been destroyed three or four times today after attempting to be rebuilt.”

Catching up with another Warden Soldier, Jarkey he furthermore commented,
“We are currently experiencing problems with the bridge, mostly due to when every-time the enemy advances and pushes us out and further north, when we take it back over it takes time to rebuild entrenchments and improvements as well as keep the bridge open for our forces".
A Warden Captain Pat-NL of the CL regiment added to this in regards to their defenses, voicing "We are currently in dire need of better organization among regiments, IF we can organize better I think we can control the bridge and even further Callums Descent for longer then one day "

This single choke point undeniably will continue to plague both sides of the conflict. As the artillery fire intensifies though here on day 446 of war 108, I must return to a safer location. From there, I’ll continue to update as the situation unfolds.
