A NEW ERA OF NAVAL WARFARE?

WAR 113, DAY 230, Oarbreaker Isles / Nevish Line, THE CONCLAVE / NEVISH TRAIL --- A new era of naval warfare has emerged, with recent facility production rates skyrocketing, resulting in a massive increase in the production of naval vessels as of late. Alongside this, the discovery of new navigational tools which allow large ships to travel from east to west almost instantaneously means we’re likely in for some serious sea battles.

"Is the proximity of the Conclave to major Warden facility territories something that has been seriously overlooked?" The Conclave has all it needs to make lots of explosive and it would be easy to send in barges full of hydra's whispers and tremolas" - [PRESS] Joshua Patterson

I met up with Legionnaire Blur from the Legions of Xiphos ([LOX] Blur_*****) who would escort me around the Oarbreaker archipelago and nearby Warden beaches. Upon my arrival at the Conclave, I noticed a strong presence of public logistics. Being secluded from the supply chain, it makes sense that the Colonial islanders would be more inclined to share their resources in order to hold the island. There were 30k basic materials stocked up and ready to go in PUBLIC stockpiles, a feat I have seen few times before. After a quick lunch on the island and a little more exploration, myself and the legionnaire picked up an Aquatipper Barge, borrowed from the local garrison, to go explore the surrounding territories.

Our first stop was at the island of Barrenson, a desolate Warden-controlled Island with no one about and no defences. It's not an entirely uncommon sight to see an undefended island, high command on both sides usually does not deem the control of such islands as important. Our next stop was Nevish Trail, a Warden territory tucked away from all the fighting. Our landing was met with no resistance despite our close proximity to a key Warden logistical hub. I surveyed the land, and the Warden garrison present did not seem ready for a full-scale naval invasion. After an interview with a friendly Warden named Toesty_, he summarised a simple lack of interest in naval assaults utilising the new fast travel routes. A prompt goodbye and departure soon followed, and I had returned in time for tea at the Conclave.

Writing my report, I still wondered, is this an untapped resource or an opportunity not worth taking? Something we shall find out as this war progresses, stay tuned to read all about it and up to date on all events.
