'TRUCKS RUN INFANTRY OVER,

TRAINS RUN TRUCKS OVER'

Community Submission.

DAY 220, Unspecified Warden Rear Region --- The first locomotive train was (re)created by the engineers of the 82nd Dread Korps of the Warden Empire about Day Two-Hundred-And-Twenty of the 96th Conflict and consisted of two troop transport cars each armed with machine guns and the locomotive.  The first of these engineers to man the machine on open rail lines were track designer Klaus von Reinherz and lead locomotive designer Zackreaver of the 82nd. In both troop transport cars a full infantry section loaded up for frontline service.

The trip of course was an historic moment for the Warden Empire, 82DK and the world as a whole. The locomotive was flawless in its journey the ride was smooth and even tea was served, pleasantries the Korpsmen were not accustomed too.  However the gravity of the moment was not lost on any of us and we soon learned a lesson- as a lone backline resource truck barrelled towards an intersection with our tracks filled with sulphur, I can only assume the driver was in sheer awe of what he was looking at.

The truck tried to beat the intersection only for the train to cut it in two, unfortunately leading to their death. Lesson learned: trucks run infantry over, trains run trucks over. Don't try and beat the crossing. The train arrived back in station and was stored in its yard for the night- its maiden journey a success and history made. The details of the location of the track in which this took place and how many maps it spanned is classified until after wars end.
